£260,000 Awarded To Mrs H For Husband’s Mesothelioma Diagnosis
We were instructed on behalf of Mr H in respect of his diagnosis of mesothelioma. He had been exposed to asbestos whilst employed as a fitter replacing brake linings on commercial vehicles for Auto Tyre & Battery Co between 1976/77 and 2001/02.
Sadly, Mr H passed away and therefore the claim was taken over by his widow. Mr H was only 56 years old at the time of his diagnosis of mesothelioma. He had his own business which was doing well and he intended to work beyond age 70. We therefore obtained a report from a forensic accountant in order to value the past and future dependency claim for Mrs H.
Mrs H’s claim settled without the need for Court proceedings to be issued in the sum of £260,000.
